Dear All, Our efforts are now started bringing results in positive direction. After filling of petition and contacting the company, Pual Smith has updated their webpage and added a note that they have been inspired by the peshawari chappal (http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/uk-en/shop/mens/shoes/men-s-black-high-shine-leather-sandals.html). However, through a mediator which is presently a local broadcast channel in UK (interviewed me as well), I have disagreed with the update and asked them to update it more appropriately with mention of Pathan (Pashtun) culture. Couple of article to the effect have been published in Pakistan's Media after inspired by the petition i.e Dawn (http://www.dawn.com/news/1092257/a-chappal-of-two-cities-the-300-paul-smith-surprise) and Tribune (http://blogs.tribune.com.pk/story/21357/paul-smith-shoes-and-cultural-appropriation/). I request you all to put in more dedicated efforts to bring more signatories so to get deserved appreciation for our Pashtun culture.
