Help give all young people free sanitary products in the UK

Help give all young people free sanitary products in the UK
The Issue
1/10 women and girls in Britain aged 14-21 cannot afford sanitary products.
Help create the M-card to give young people in the UK access to free sanitary products.
We, a group of teens from Brighton, want to raise support to achieve a new card which will grant free access to sanitary products for all 11-25 year olds. (Like the C-Card which gives free access to condoms, already available across the UK) .
We believe that it is an important issue as 1/7 girls have had to resort to using other materials such as; news paper, toilet roll, socks and rags, as they can't afford to buy sanitary products. No one should have to go to such lengths and humiliation just to deal with a natural process, which could also potentially be very harmful to their health.
Furthermore, we know that this is an increasing issue for homeless cis-women. Living in the city where the number of rough sleepers being more than 1000 every year and increasing (the second highest number in the UK, below Westminister), this problem is a constant reminder of why we are doing this and provides even more motivation to solve the period problem in Brighton and Hove.
Why should anyone have to spend substantial amounts of money each month on this natural process they have no control over?
Why should any young person have to loose out on their education because they can't afford the means to manage this part of their life?
All people should be able to feel dignified, empowered and protected every day of the month.
Please support us in our campaign and help make much needed change happen.
