Save Sri Lankan IT industry from CEPA/ECTA

Save Sri Lankan IT industry from CEPA/ECTA
The Issue
CEPA will liberalize following areas creating major problems for Sri Lanka.
1.Trade in Goods
2. Investments
3. Trade in Services
4. Free movement of people
Number 4: CEPA will allow Indians to setup even a small business in Sri Lanka and bring employees from India to work in such businesses. Even the families of such employees can be brought. Sri Lankans too will be able do the same in India. Nevertheless in reality it will be Indians who will flood into Sri Lanka than the other way around.
In India there are about 50 million unemployed people, there will be no opportunities for Sri Lankans to find jobs in India. But for unemployed Indians it will be a good opportunity, having free movement to another country.
If the government think the Sri Lankan IT labour force is not sufficient enough to meet the demand, they should promote IT education even more in Sri Lanka, Creating job opportunities for Sri Lankans itself.. Not the Indians...
