Law Minister K Shanmugam has received top marks from LGBT advocacy group Sayoni for his engagement with Singapore's LGBT community and taking a hard line on discrimination based on sexual orientation. The same Shanmugam who also holds the portfolio of Police Minister. This department has arrested many people for engaging in sodomy even though the latter were doing it out of public view, and were only caught because someone peeped at them and lodged a complaint.
