On this auspicious occasion I share with you the benefits this project will accrue for all provinces of Pakistan. Benefits from Kalabagh Dam All provinces of Pakistan will benefit from Kalabagh Dam as under; • KP: 14%* water share to irrigate 800,000 acres of barren land in D I Khan and Bannu thru Right Bank high level canal + Share in Hydel Profit in proportion to area affected. • Punjab: 37% water share + Share in Hydel Profit in proportion to area affected. • Sindh: 37% water share. • Baluchistan: 12% water share. (*Water shares are in accordance with Para 4 of IRSA Water Apportionment Accord 1991). • Pakistan: 12 billion units of cheap hydroelectric energy annually in national grid + Flood control saving billions of rupees lost plus precious lives in devastating floods, otherwise. That is how it will result in economic prosperity of whole of Pakistan.
