Unconfirmed reports indicate that the UNESCO event in Paris at which the illegitimate self-appointed representatives of Auroville were planning to amplify their dogmatic PR has been cancelled. It is too soon to breathe a sigh of relief, but it does show that the authorities are feeling the push back from the public.
If you have not yet signed the letter to the Indian Government calling on them to distance themselves from the fundamentalist clique that is forcefully taking over Auroville, NOW is the time!
While those who claim to be the Supreme Authority are busy seeking fame and glory on the world's stage, the legitimate representatives of the Residents Assembly are standing shoulder to shoulder with forest stewards to protect Auroville land from being bulldozed by corrupt land grabbing real estate developers (see video). As we speak, a large stretch of Evergreen forest is under attack. But where is the Auroville Foundation Secretary?
Let us not be fooled: imposing authoritarian rule does not lead to progress and stability. It leads to destruction and violence.
Auroville is better off with a civil servant who dares to share power with the people and has no need to hog the limelight. We already have a guru and don't need our secretary posturing as one.
