The bifurcation of the erstwhile united state of Andhra Pradesh into two separate states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was done in a hurried and haphazard manner. This has caused huge revenue loss to the extent of Rs.15000 crores annually, making it unviable for the state government to manage finances. To leave a newly formed state with a deficit budget when it needs to create jobs and infrastructure to build its capital from scratch will only plunge the state into economic backwardness. Despite the promises of both UPA and NDA leaders both outside and inside the parliament, their conspicuous silence causing great sense of insecurity among its people.
