Shocking PPF interest rate calculation if the formula was implemented in year 2001

Dear friends, According to attached article, if the new interest rate calculation formula was implemented in year 2001 then we would have got an interest rate of 5.4% in PPF. It is really shockingly low. We are about to hit 50K supporters and it is indeed a big achievement but not enough for our PM and FM to rollback this decision.
