HONOUR CONNIE TALBOT & HER PARENTS!!!

In 2007, SIX-YEAR-OLD Connie Talbot burst onto UK TV screens during the auditions for the very first series of “Britain's Got Talent”, and earned herself a place in the final where she finished runner-up to Welsh tenor, Paul Potts. During the competition, little Connie is reported to have told “Ant & Dec” that she wanted to win the £100,000 prize money so that she could donate it to charities helping poor and orphaned indigenous African children.

Just TWO years later, eight-year-old Connie was appearing on American television as the Ambassador for the U.S. Marines “TOYS FOR TOTS” charity, and performing on stage in Croydon, England for, “The Stars Are Coming Out Tonight” charity fund-raising show, and on German Telethons!!! These appearances are merely among the earliest examples of what has become her committed, charitable and fundraising endeavours!!!

During the past SIX YEARS or so, Connie has travelled the length and breadth of Britain and beyond performing at charity concerts and fundraisers (TOO NUMEROUS to count) whenever her schooling, recording and touring schedules have permitted, including but not entirely for... “YOUNG VOICES” (GB) (2 full seasons) – “YOUNG VOICES” (Ireland) – the “AFRICAN CHILDREN'S CHOIR” (Connie now this Charity's Ambassador and they have named a school after her see- https://africanchildrenschoir.com/britains-got-talent-star-connie-talbot-becomes-ambassador-7208/) – the “BRAIN TUMOUR CHARITY” &/or “TRUST” – the “JOSEPH FOOTE FOUNDATION” – “SOCCER SIXES”... It is a TRAGEDY and an absolute TRAVESTY that neither this true ENGLISH ROSE... this ANGEL of MERCY... NOR her parents SHARON & GAVIN (2 “unsung heroes” who have also given so freely of their time either to transport or to escort their daughter to these performances) have never (to the best of my knowledge and belief) received the recognition or been honoured for all the work this now thirteen-year-old has done to raise monies for charity and other worthy causes!

My goals are fourfold!

1. to collect signatures in support of a nomination I have made for Connie to be recognized as the “Lidl's Young Fundraiser of the Year” at this year's “PRIDE of BRITAIN” awards

2. to collect signatures in support of a nomination I have made for Connie's parents, Sharon & Gavin, to receive “Special Recognition” at this year's “PRIDE of BRITAIN” awards

3. to collect signatures to petition the British government to include Connie in the 2014/15 Queen's New Year's Honours List, and...

4. to collect signatures to petition Simon Cowell to revisit his company's decision (if this is what Connie wants of course) to drop Connie from SYCO's roster of stars... I understand and support his decision when Connie was still only six-years-old, but he has since signed Jackie Evancho, when she was ten or eleven, and Connie is thirteen now and still largely unknown in her native England (whilst ironically being a huge star in the Far East, where she is all but idolized, as well as adored by many Americans and Australians!)

I have deliberately set a seemingly impossible target of achieving one million signatures by the end of JULY 2014, in the hope that I will garner sufficient support for this campaign to be successful.
