Save the Children Thailand ขอชวนทุกคนมาร่วมรณรงค์ให้โรงเรียนดำเนินการอย่างจริงจังเพื่อสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้ที่ปลอดภัย และเป็นมิตรสำหรับนักเรียน LGBTQI+ (เลสเบี้ยน เกย์ ไบเซ็กชวล คนข้ามเพศ เควียร์ อินเตอร์เซ็กส์ และอื่นๆ) เพราะการศึกษาเป็นสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐานสำหรับทุกคน และนักเรียน LGBTQI+ ไม่ควรถูกเลือกปฏิบัติ รังแก หรือแบ่งแยกในโรงเรียน

Save the Children Thailand ขอเชิญชวนพวกเราทุกคนมาร่วมกันผลักดันให้โรงเรียนต่างๆ ดำเนินมาตรการดังนี้

1.จัดการอบรมให้ความรู้กับครู เจ้าหน้าที่ และผู้บริหารทุกคนเกี่ยวกับความหลากหลายทางเพศ สร้างทัศนคติและแนวปฏิบัติที่โอบรับทุกอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศ และการสร้างบรรยากาศในการเรียนการสอนที่เปิดกว้างและเป็นมิตร

2. พัฒนาหลักสูตรและจัดการเรียนการสอนในทุกวิชาให้ครอบคลุมความหลากหลายทางเพศ ไม่จำกัดเพียงแค่บรรทัดฐานเพศชายและเพศหญิง มีการนำเสนอเนื้อหาที่โอบรับความหลากหลายอย่างเหมาะสม เพื่อเสริมสร้างทัศนคติเชิงบวก และพัฒนาศักยภาพเด็กและเยาวชน

3. จัดสภาพแวดล้อมในสถานศึกษาให้ปลอดภัยและเป็นมิตร ขจัดการเลือกปฏิบัติ ปฏิบัติตามนโยบายคุ้มครองเด็กของโรงเรียน ส่งเสริมความปลอดภัยในโรงเรียน ทั้งด้านกาย จิต สังคม (เช่น อนุญาตการแต่งกาย-ไว้ทรงผมตามเพศสภาพ ออกวิธีป้องกันการรังแกกัน มีระบบการรายงานส่งต่อ)

ประเด็นนี้เป็นประเด็นที่สำคัญ เพราะนักเรียนทุกคน รวมถึงนักเรียน LGBTQI+ มีสิทธิที่จะได้รับการศึกษาในสภาพแวดล้อมปราศจากการเลือกปฏิบัติ พร้อมได้รับความเคารพและโอกาสอย่างเท่าเทียมกันในการประสบความสำเร็จทางการศึกษา ซึ่งจะส่งผลดีต่อสุขภาพจิต และความสำเร็จในอนาคตของพวกเขา รวมถึงเป็นการสร้างสังคมที่สนับสนุนการเติบโตของเด็กทุกคน

ข้อเรียกร้องเหล่านี้ เป็นไปตามสิ่งที่รัฐไทยได้ให้คำสัญญาไว้ว่าจะดำเนินการภายในปี พ.ศ. 2568 ตามกระบวนการทบทวนสถานการณ์ด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน รอบที่ 3 (Universal Periodic Review: UPR) โดยสามารถอ่านแผนการปฏิบัติของรัฐได้ที่ https://humanrights.mfa.go.th/th/upr/report-3/report09.php

 

เราตั้งเป้าหมายที่จะเชิญชวนให้คนจำนวน 5,000 คน ที่เห็นถึงความสำคัญในเรื่องนี้มาร่วมลงชื่อเพื่อที่จะนำไปส่งต่อให้กับสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน (สพฐ.) ภายใต้ กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ

Save the Children Thailand invites everyone to join in advocating for schools to take serious measures to create a safe and friendly learning environment for LGBTQI+ students (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and others). Education is a fundamental right for everyone, and LGBTQI+ students should not face discrimination, bullying, or segregation in schools.

Save the Children Thailand encourages all of us to push schools to implement the following measures:

1. Provide Training: Educate teachers, staff, and administrators on gender diversity, fostering attitudes and practices that embrace all gender identities, and creating an open and friendly teaching atmosphere.
2. Develop Inclusive Curriculum: Ensure that all subjects include gender diversity, not limited to male and female norms, by presenting content that appropriately embraces diversity. This will foster positive attitudes and enhance the potential of children and youth.
3. Create a Safe and Friendly School Environment: Eliminate discrimination, adhere to the school's child protection policies, and promote safety in schools, both physically and mentally. This includes allowing gender-appropriate attire and hairstyles, implementing anti-bullying measures, and establishing a reporting and referral system.

This issue is crucial because all students, including LGBTQI+ students, have the right to an education in a discrimination-free environment, where they are respected and given equal opportunities to succeed academically. This contributes positively to their mental health and future success, and supports the growth of a society that nurtures all children.

These demands align with the commitments made by the Thai government to be implemented by 2025 under the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on human rights. You can read the government's action plan at this link: https://humanrights.mfa.go.th/th/upr/report-3/report09.php

We aim to gather 5,000 signatures from people who recognize the importance of this issue to present to the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) under the Ministry of Education.
