🚨 The Center Parcs Price Hike: A £950 Difference Just Because Schools Are Closed! 🚨

We’ve all seen it happen, but the numbers speak for themselves. I looked at two 4-night breaks at Center Parcs (finding the absolute cheapest available for each week) as a prime example:

Term-time week: Much lower baseline price

School holiday week: A massive £950 more expensive for the exact same duration!

Even granting that one might be a newer style lodge, a £950 surge solely because schools are closed is completely indefensible. And it doesn't stop at Center Parcs—there are countless examples across other UK holiday parks and breaks.

Because parents have zero schedule flexibility under UK law, we are locked into a captive market where family downtime is treated like a luxury for the wealthy. On top of that, working parents face heavy financial penalties if they try to take a break outside of term time.

I’ve had enough of this unfair system, so I’ve started a petition calling for urgent reform on holiday pricing and school attendance fine rules.
