Dear Varun,
Thank you for your further email and I appreciate your concerns.
Disabled people and people with health conditions are a diverse group, with very diverse needs, so access to the right financial and emotional support for each individual is very important.
We have put in place an ambitious programme of initiatives to support disabled people and people with health conditions who want to work to start, stay and succeed in work. These include the Work and Health Programme providing tailored and personalised support for disabled people; Access to Work grants helping towards extra costs of working beyond standard reasonable adjustments; and a Disability Confident scheme, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and health, and to take positive action to address the issues disabled employees face in the workplace.
In our manifesto, we have committed to reforming our disability benefits, so that they are better targeted and reflect people’s genuine needs, while delivering a step[1]change in mental health provision.
We will improve PIP assessments to provide a more objective consideration of individual needs and stop the number of claims from rising unsustainably. While people suffering with mental health conditions face significant challenges, it is not clear that they always face the same additional living costs as people with physical disabilities. We will look at the best way to provide support, including whether treatment or services could be more appropriate for some people than a monthly cash payment, while also delivering a dramatic expansion in mental health support. At the same time, we will make the assessment process simpler and fairer for those with the most severe conditions.
I hope that this is helpful and that you will lend me your vote on 4th July, so that we can continue to tackle these important issues.
Kind regards,
Jack

Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Windsor
Promoted by Steve Bax on behalf of Jack Rankin, both of Windsor Conservatives, Suite 120, 24-28 St Leonards Road, SL4 3BB.
Dear Mr Rankin
Thank you Very Much for your email, however the The truth is that without the regular PIP payments people with disabilities like myself will struggle more during the cost of living Crises this benefit enables people to live more independently and without it they will be around £737.20 worse off and likely to be unable to pay their bills and as result are likely to end up homeless, see all these issues we face during this cost of Living Crises are connected, also replacing PIP benefit payments with vouchers will not solve the problem and the truth is no nobody on PIP wants the government’s proposed benefit changes infact Charities and members of the public are fighting against these changes through petitions and open letter campaigns. Will you fight against these changes if elected and stand by people with disabilities and mental health conditions in need of these PIP benefit payments and prevent the next government from implementing a voucher/ receipt based welfare system this very same proposal for changes failed in 2017 bringing it back won’t help people be better off during a cost of living crises you can’t pay bills like rent and mortgages through vouchers after all.
Please see the IFS initial review where it states that £12 billion will be generated from the Welfare bill in order to fund tax cuts and increase defence spending by raising £17 Billion per year for these purposes.
https://ifs.org.uk/articles/conservative-manifesto-initial-response#:~:text=Bee%20Boileau%2C%20research%20economist%20at,cent%20of%20total%20departmental%20spending
The Conservatives have promised some £17 billion per year of tax cuts, and a big hike in defence spending. That is supposedly funded by reducing the projected welfare bill by £12 billion; cracking down on tax avoidance and evasion; and saving billions from cutting civil service numbers, reducing spending on management consultants, and “quango efficiencies”. Those are definite giveaways paid for by uncertain, unspecific and apparently victimless savings. Forgive a degree of scepticism.

Please see what PIP claimants are saying about the changes to proposed by the government to the Welfare system which you also mentioned in your email below, People are clearly don’t want these benefit changes. Will you fight to make sure people will not be £737.20 worse off during a cost of living crisis if elected by helping us oppose these welfare changes?
Once again thank you for your email reply I appreciate your responses to my emails and providing me with feedback and good luck for the rest of your election campaign.
Best wishes

Here is more Feedback I received from the Conservative Candidate for Windsor in relation to Dementia:
Dear Varun,
Thank you for your email about dementia.
I appreciate how difficult it can be to care for someone with dementia. My wife’s grandfather has dementia and her family have just made the tough decision to place him in a care home. 900,000 people currently live with dementia in the UK, and this is set to rise to 1.6 million by 2040. We recognise how significant this is and we are doubling research funding with £95 million for the Dame Barbara Windsor Dementia Mission. Dementia has also been included in the Major Conditions Strategy for the NHS - a blueprint for improving outcomes over the next 5 years covering cancer, heart disease, musculoskeletal disorders, mental ill-health, dementia and respiratory diseases. Together, the aim of these interventions is to improve the lives of those suffering from dementia and help reduce the burden on their loved ones, who provide such immense support.
However, social care and the NHS are big issues that must be tackled before the situation gets any worse. If elected, I would propose an independent Royal Commission into putting Adult Social Care on a sustainable footing, which all parties would agree to implement, thinking about a long-term solution. I believe that the problems in social care are causing great strain on our NHS and would be part of the solution to put that on a more sustainable footing too.
I hope this is helpful and thank you again for taking the time to write to me.
Kind regards,
Jack

My question is don’t other Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions and Disability Benefits like PIP also deserve the same amount of focus by the government, just like Dementia?
Please see these Facebook and YouTube Video links from the Charity Sense which shows why People with Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions shouldn’t be discriminated against or Underestimated, and Why PIP Payments need to continue, in order to help people continue living independently and to overcome the difficulties they face due to their Disabilities or Mental Health Conditions:

Hi Varun
Yes I can confirm that if I was elected I would support and do what I can to raise this issue to all and look to work with Sense to make real changes and support the campaign. I believe we need to act swiftly as possible on this area. We can look at real support on this quickly. I hope I will be in a position to push forward to help where I can I appreciate your support at this important time in the political landscape.
Best Regards

Dear Varun, Thank you for contacting me about homelessness locally. A number of people have been in touch with me to share their concerns. The Conservative Party nationally have made good progress in tackling homelessness. Since 2018, more than 740,000 households have been prevented from becoming homeless or were supported into settled accommodation. When I was a councillor in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead between 2015 and 2019, I was pleased that Conservatives locally had a strong track record of delivering practical initiatives to support homelessness. This included converting two council-owned properties into a day service and emergency homeless shelter, working collaboratively with local charities like the Windsor Homeless Project. We also ensured we went over and above our statutory requirements during severe weather to help the homeless. Regulations only required the council to introduce its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol when temperatures dropped to zero or below for three consecutive nights. I was proud when we went even further in 2018 by activating our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol in November and kept it in place throughout the winter regardless of whether the temperature went below zero or not. Finally, it was the Conservative-controlled council which updated and approved the Borough Local Plan. Having a Local Plan outlines our commitment to ensuring the homes the Borough needs are built in the right places and to help tackle the affordability crisis. Like you, we want everyone to have a safe place to call home that’s why we are investing an unprecedented £2.4 billion over three years to tackle homelessness and end rough sleeping for good. This funding includes reducing the number of people in temporary accommodation, providing councils with £1.2 billion to help people off the streets and into secure housing, provide financial support those that need it and work with landlords to prevent evictions. This is my track record of practical support and commitment to this issue. As your MP for Windsor, I will be a strong voice in Westminster to ensure as much of that funding as possible is diverted locally. I am committed to tackling homelessness and ending rough sleeping, and will work in partnership with local government and the voluntary sector to achieve this ambitious aim. Thank you again for taking the time to contact me. I hope that you will lend me your vote on the 4th of July so that, together, we can work towards ending homelessness.
Kind regards,
Jack
