Victory!

Last night it was announced in the 2020-2021 budget that there would be a Doubling of Medicare-subsidised mental health sessions for all Australians!

464 days ago I created this petition and today is finally the day we can declare victory, when I started this petition I never saw this day coming it was more or less me wanting to share my story in hopes that it would get people talking about the topic, but little did I know it would do a lot more than that, the opportunities I was granted and the people I was able to meet and work with will be something I will never forget, but also the countless hours my mum put into this, she played a massive role behind the scenes and deserves lots of recognition, and thank you everyone, none of this would have been possible without you.

Although this mental health revolution is only in the early phases I’d like to think that us as Australians are evolving our views on this topic and are becoming more aware.

Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for believing in this and making it a reality. Curtis
