Hello!
Following the release of the 2017 October surprise of sun bears and elephants videos in Bandung Zoo by Rebecca Rodriguez (OneAnimalWorld), Cee4Life has been scrambling.
Rebecca/One Animal World (OAW) has sent 2 letters to Cee4Life. Her 1st letter can be found in https://www.facebook.com/oneanimalworld/
Here is a cut and paste of the second letter dated 10/15/17 OAW wrote Cee4Life.
Please visit OAW fbpage for more pictures as I can only post one here.
Thank you again for giving a voice to the animals ~P Holmes

CLARIFICATION AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION SENT TO CEE4Life...
I have not received a response from Cee4Life and have submitted the following...
10/15/2017
Dear CEE4Life –
I have not received a written response regarding the two videos posted this past week showing discrepancies in CEE4Life’s statement posted on your website and social media pages. I did have an opportunity to see the live stream video that you posted recently and to review various social media posts.
Assuming you are referring to the videos posted by One Animal World, I would like to respond to your accusations and present some questions:
1. OAW did not “sneak” into the zoo, nor did we “trespass”. We entered the zoo along with other average patrons, during business hours and with a paid ticket.
2. We did not feed any of the animals. Nor did we lure or lay in wait for Kardit. Our video captures the other zoo visitors throwing food, just as they did when you were shooting your video. The only exception is that during our visit, zoo personnel was not present to stop them.
3. We do not “hate” the animals at Bandung Zoo. In fact, it is quite the opposite. We care about the animals and that is why we are working to hold those responsible, namely CEE4Life and Bandung Zoo management, accountable for their actions, statements, and promises.
4. Despite your implications, we did not stage any of this footage. This is a true and accurate representation of the conditions at Bandung Zoo. Insinuating that this video was staged is exactly the response I would expect from someone covering up animal abuse, neglect and a lack of competency.
5. You dedicated a sizable portion of your live stream presentation, framing the potential harm that could have come to Kardit during the fight over food. It’s obvious that you realize the significant harm that could come to the animals if they fight. So why isn’t more being done to safeguard against this? Why isn’t more being done to keep visitors from throwing food to the animals?
6. It seems that you don’t realize that Kardit was NOT in the fight. The fight was between Ano and the FEMALE Sun Bear (see attachment). I would hope that after all this time at Bandung Zoo, you would be able to identify Kardit and differentiate between a male Sun Bear and female Sun Bear.
7. What is the current target date for completing the Sun Bear enclosure? Is it still on track for November? Are there qualified professionals being enlisted to help with this design to ensure success?
Regarding the Elephants…
On September 18th, CEE4Life announced that the elephant enclosure upgrades were complete, the elephants were no longer being kept on chains and that bullhooks were no longer being used. The first week of October, our visit to the zoo found this to be FALSE.
It was only after the video evidence was published on 10/10, that CEE4Life decided to make a statement claiming that the elephants were put back on chains because of unexpected problems with the upgrades. I appreciate you acknowledging the accuracy of my video but can you please explain why your organization failed to properly plan this project and why CEE4Life failed to make a public statement sooner?
We do understand that problems occur, however, with something as important at unchaining ELEPHANTS, one would expect a very well-thought-out plan, developed and executed by qualified professionals. According to your live stream video, October 27th is the new completion date for the enclosure upgrades. Do you now have qualified professionals assisting with the upgrades and once complete, will all elephants at Bandung Zoo be permanently unchained and allowed to roam freely?
As for the bullhooks. You did not address this in your video but I did have the opportunity to see your social media post where it stated… “There's two bullhooks in Bandung Zoo. They will be remaining at the zoo.... In a framed glass case in the education section to show what was used.”
Please explain the bullhook that is being used by the mahout in the video posted on 10/10/2017 which clearly demonstrates that a different bullhook is still in use at Bandung Zoo. These findings are also in conflict with your statement on 9/18/2017.
Lastly, does Bandung Zoo have an official statement regarding the use of bullhooks? If yes, please provide me with a copy.
You said, “these lies that are coming out. It’s not helping the animals. It’s not helping anybody.” I couldn’t agree more and the sooner CEE4Life starts presenting accurate information and living up to their mission, the sooner the animals at Bandung Zoo can get the help they need. And I look forward to reading your interview with the “international” news outlet and I can only hope that the information you presented is accurate.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Rodriguez
