We’ve been concerned since our petition started getting popular (and even before) that efforts would be made to kill the Secretary's power to cancel student loans by executive order.
Well, that is now happening.
Language was snuck into an omnibus funding bill for the FAA that would make federal student loans for aviation schools un-cancellable (and also raises the amount they can borrow to over $100,000.). This is quite concerning. This could be the beginning of a “death by a thousand cuts” strategy to kill our cancellation plan. Please take this very seriously. Today’s action:
