Special Project Today: Senate Call Party!!

Hey Everyone-

We're having a "Senate Calling Party" today :-)

Its really simple:  Call Senators Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and your senators.  Tell them all strongly to join Senators Cornyn and Hawley, and cosponsor/support S.2598.  Use a few of these bullet points in your call: 

1.  Ted Cruz (Texas): (202) 224-5922

• Over 4 million Texans owe $141 Billion in mostly federal student loan debt. 
• Most of them are republican or independent. 
• Interest, alone, on this is nearly $10 Billion per year leaving the state, and going to Washington DC. 

2. Marco Rubio (Florida) (202) 224-3041

• Over 3 million Floridians owe $120 Billion in mostly federal student loan debt. They vote.
• Most of them are republican or independent.
• Interest, alone, on this is over $8 Billion per year leaving the state, and going mostly to Washington DC. 

Other points you can sprinkle in: 

• The Founders called for bankruptcy rights ahead of the power to raise an army and declare in the US Constitution.
• Student loans are the ONLY loans in the country to be stripped of this right. 
• This is a big-government, college-enriching lending system that no true conservative should support. 
• This is becoming a state sovereignty issue. 
• Older people (over 35) outnumber younger people (under 35) with student loan debt. 
• Red States are being hurt far worse than Blue States by these loans.
