The bankruptcy bill is now out.  Unfortunately, we are seeing our opposition now call for a REPAYMENT period rather than the ten-year WAITING period that is now in the bill.  We knew this would happen.  Will you please upvote this comment, and also make a comment of your own on this article?  Speak to bankruptcy, or even call for total loan cancellation...both will help!!

Changing the ten-year waiting period to a repayment period kills the goodness of the bill. This is like telling someone who is drowning that they can have a lifejacket, but they have to swim to shore to get it.  See the comment. 

We can, should, and must overwhelm our opposition.  Without meaningful bankruptcy protections returned, we will not get meaningful loan cancellation.  Please don't forget this critically important point!

This is the battle, folks.  These are the trenches. Now is the time to fight...while the sausage is being made!
