The petition has added almost 20,000 signatures in the past couple of days on the strength of a CNBC article about it. Senator Chuck Schumer even retweeted it! We need to build on this momentum. Will you please send an email to news organizations in your state? Say something like this:

This petition to cancel student loans has just passed 1 million signatures. This is a non-partisan issue. In fact, student loan debt in over a third of US states eclipses their state budgets, and most of these states are "red" states. Will you please report on this? The people of our state- and the Governor in particular- deserve to know about this-

Please remember: There is a HUGE danger that the establishment will try to foist a nearly meaningless loan cancellation upon us as a cheap substitute for returning bankruptcy protections. We need to wary of this trick. It was played on us back in 2007. We can't/won't be fooled again!
