Here is the Town Hall we did on Friday with Matt Taibbi (Rolling Stone), and others. Also, We just did this interview yesterday with a news station in Virginia (Thanks to John D. for making this happen). We can be doing local news interviews like this all day long, but we need you to contact your local media and tell them to report on the petition for that to happen!
The defenders of this indefensible lending system are now afraid, and responding. We've hit them where it counts. Commenting on oppositional articles is something everyone should be doing. With our numbers, we can easily shut down the haters...but it starts with you.
One simple action we're asking everyone to take today: Get JUST ONE person you know to sign the petition. 1 in 5 of all adults have student loans, and 80% of them were never going to be able to pay their loans. They should be glad to know about the petition, and happy to sign. This will double our signatures if everyone does it. There is great power in numbers. This is how we get there!
Things are happening fast, folks. What we do- individually- to fight this battle between now and January 20th really matters.
