Good Evening All-
We have 50 state chapter groups set up to fight for student loan justice. Will you please join yours, and help get it going?
https://studentloanjustice.org/state_chapter/
Some are big (ie 300+ members), some not so big. But they are all important, all growing, and all of them need your help. Also, if you are a self-starter, and passionate about fighting this fight, think about stepping up to lead (or co-lead) your state chapter. Our state chapter leaders do local projects, interact with the media, and really whatever they feel is needed to move the needle in the direction of accomplishing our mission As unlikely as it may sound, the country really needs you on this If you think you might have what it takes, please let me know!
Also, we continue to push the petition. Will you put some time and effort into helping us make it grow?
We're at 230,000 signatures currently, but we should/could have millions. More than 1 in 5 adults in the country have student loans, and (believe it or not) 4 out of 5 of them will never be able to pay their loans!! You know these people. Find them. Please do your part and get at least 5 to sign. This is the quickest way we will get up to a million!
Here is a Fox News Radio interview that ran over the weekend. Short, but to the point. Will you please make it a point to contact/convince a news organization to interview us about the petition, and the argument we are making? We can and should be doing dozens of interviews every day, with both liberal and conservative media. We have done stories with the whole range from Fox News to the New York times, NPR, PBS, Vice News, etc. But stories usually only happen when a third party makes the suggestion. If you set 'em up, we'll gladly knock 'em down! Also, we have people all over the country who are willing to be interviewed to put a face to this problem!
I hope you are starting to get how important YOU ARE in this fight. Regardless of how strong our argument is, how right we are, how just this cause is, it will ONLY happen when you help!
Best Regards,
Alan
