On November 14, 2023, Kyle was sentenced to 17 years in the Federal Bureau of Prisons for a non violent drug crime.  He is in custody at FCI Williamsburg in South Carolina.  He continues to actively participate in programming and rehabilitation to be successful.  The United States can not be a nation of second chances while incarcerating brown and black people at massively, disproportionate rates with harsher sentencing. 

57.7% of career offenders were Black, 23.6% White, 16.8% were  Hispanic and 1.9% were Other races.  This is from the United States Sentencing Commission.
