According to this article (please keep in mind i’m not sure about how factual it is)  Alcohol deaths are on the rise! When NMDAA was signed in 1984 this was supposed to be resolved but it clearly isn’t and this goes to show that raising the age does nothing, it’s a matter of education not a matter of taking away something from a legally defined adult!! This may even go to show that raising the age pushes more people to be irresponsible when an alcohol related emergency occurs like alcohol poisoning or a sexual assault! By raising the age more young people are afraid to report medical emergencies or crimes related to alcohol for fear of being charged for being underage, laws do exist for this reason but not everywhere! This is why 18 should be the age to consume, possess, and buy! If anyone would like to read or even fact check the article it is right HERE!
