During the 1990 carnage by the Islamo-fascists against Hindus in Kashmir, J&K Police was hand-in-glove with them, and did not register FIRs for hundreds of Hindu killings, and thousands of looted/burnt properties. Only those Hindus who had some sort of clout could get FIRs registered, but no action was taken by J&K Police.

Our House in Karan Nagar, Srinagar was looted after we were forced to leave in June 1990. It was only in 1995, that we managed to get an FIR registered at Kak Sarai Police Station, covering Karan Nagar; that too after a personal visit and phone call from IG Police to the SHO. However, no action was taken by the SHO (Station House Officer) and the FIR remains pending till date for last 26 years. Complete Injustice!
