I havent posted any recent updates so I just wanted to share the good news. On January 19th, which was President Obama's last full day in office, I received a phone call from Michel Nicrosi, the federal attorney who helped me with my dad's clemency petition, she informed me that she had just got off the phone with the Pardon of Attorney's office. President Obama signed commuted my dad's sentence to 235 months total. NO LIFE SENTENCE. We now have a release date of July 9, 2026. My dad has since transferred to a low security facility to complete programs to reduce his sentence even more. Thank you to everyone who supported him and helped us bring him home. Thank you to our former President Obama for believing in second chances. But mostly Thank you to Jesus Christ for giving us the strength to not give up.
