An article in today's (1/5/13) NY Times highlights the increasing dangers to rangers trying to protect our four footed friends from poachers. We need forceful, committed action assisting wildlife rangers as well as forceful, committed pressure from the U.S and European nations on the countries that are the target consumers of ivory and rhino horn, namely, China, the Philippines, and Japan. It's so difficult just to read of these horrific atrocities.
