Yesterday morning, I spoke at the National Press Club in Washington, DC alongside an amazing panel, which included professor Dr. Cornel West, torture whistleblower John Kiriakou, whistleblower advocate Jesselyn Radack and others. After our remarks to press -- RT, NBC, The Intercept, The Washington Post and others were there -- we marched together to the gates of the White House, where I gave a statement and presented your signatures. We also sent a digital version of your signatures to the administration, and we received an initial response that they’d received them.
As I delivered your petition signatures to the White House yesterday, I felt blessed to know that I had the support of so many people. People who know the truth -- that my husband Jeffrey is an innocent man. People who know that he should be pardoned and reunited with his family immediately.
As I stood outside the White House yesterday, I also recorded a video to thank you all for your steadfast support. Take a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ_4CN2b10w&feature=youtu.be
I won’t rest until Jeffrey is free and we are reunited, and I’ll be in touch soon with our next steps. Thank you again.
