We are declaring a Victory. We are successful in making our voices heard and more importantly, achieving our goal. Latest reports say that there will no longer be a BLACKOUT. Yes, the NPC, ORMECO, MGC and the LGU are apparently in agreement to extend the date of the shutdown to pave the way for the installation of the modular generating units that will temporarily be the source of electricity for the entire town while the NPC undertakes the needed rehabilitation of the 69kV power line from Calapan to Puerto Galera. It is a testament to the adage, “in unity there is strength” and we emerged stronger now that we know that we can get things done through our solidarity and common action.
