Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and promoted this petition! I have no specific updates right now.

We are hoping that this petition will show NHS Fife that 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it!' The breastfeeding support team need to be strengthened with a full staff doing the job they have been doing for the past 15 years! They've helped improve the breastfeeding numbers over Fife and deserve to be saved from these intense cutbacks. 

Many women want to breastfeed but due to various reasons,  many women find this more difficult than expected. Having this free service through the NHS is the lifeline they need! In the current times, many people cannot afford to hire a private lactation consultant and as such, without a service like this, give up breastfeeding far earlier than they would like. Thus can lead to feelings of failure and subsequently low mental health. 

Let's preserve this service and help improve breastfeeding support for women!!!
