Thank you for signing the Sugarloaf Alliance's petition in support of the Sugarloaf Treasured Landscape Management Plan. Thanks and thanks again if you've shared the petition with your friends, family and on your social media! It's important to show the county's elected officials that this Plan - generated by county planners - has strong community support.

Currently, the Sugarloaf Plan is under consideration by the Frederick County Council. Their schedule is posted below; you can see that we have a long way to go. Development interests with deep pockets are opposing the Plan. It's important that members of the public who believe in this preservation effort maintain an active presence as the Plan moves through Council discussions.
Please consider calling in AND emailing your comments to the county council periodically through the next two-and-a-half months. At every meeting, everyone is counting how many folks spoke in favor and how many against. You don't need to be an expert; just say why preservation of this area is important to you and that you support the Sugarloaf Plan. Directions for how to participate appear below.
