This petition stems from a heartfelt appeal by individuals dedicated to the preservation of this historic location. The Ingersoll Ordinary in Danvers, Massachusetts, is not merely a house. It is one of the most significant structures remaining from the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, a dark and defining period of our history. As the local meeting house, it was here that the first innocent souls were held and examined. 
Shrouded with history, heritage, and tales of the past, the Ingersoll Ordinary is a tangible link to our past. 

Yet, it seems the Ingersoll Ordinary, a monument of indomitable historical importance, is the victim of neglect. We believe the restoration and preservation of this crucial landmark is an issue of paramount importance to not only us but descendants of the accused and lovers of history across the nation. 

Collectively, we call for the restoration and preservation of the Ingersoll Ordinary as a vital part of preserving our rich history. We, the undersigned, support the restoration and preservation of this house, the Ingersoll Ordinary. This is critically important to the history of Salem Village and the Town of Danvers. We respectfully request that the owner allow an inspection by representatives of this group, to determine the interior conditions, immediately, so plans can be put in place to set up a non-profit  to assume responsibility for preservation efforts.
