This update pertains to an interview on CBC Manitoba Radio at Noon on 4/4/25 where we were not provided the opportunity to clarify or correct what the Mayor of Dauphin said in real time. There were numerous incorrect statements made (and those will be addressed in the future) but the one that was responded to at this time was the assertion that the Rail Museum did not show to a City Council meeting. There also was a column in the April 8th edition of the Dauphin Herald in response to the opinion piece I submitted back in March. This column was littered with incorrect information spoken by the Mayor and a letter to the Editor will be forthcoming.
Once again, the Dauphin Rail Museum is standing by our Statement of Purpose which is to "Preserve, Interpret and Present the Rich Railway History of Dauphin and the Parkland region". We are willing to work together with the City to come to a mutually agreed upon solution regarding this matter. We will not, however, accept misleading or false information coming from the City regarding this matter.
