The application for a rooftop addition at 48 Willow Place has been deferred and will not be heard at the November 25 Landmarks Preservation Commission meeting. The item will be rescheduled for a future hearing date.

What this means:
This pause reflects the strength of community and expert support we've built together. Major preservation organizations—including the Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture—have submitted detailed testimony on the record. 

What stands out to us most is the love you've shown for our parents' work. This effort has always been grounded in a clear principle: that landmark status demands we protect the architectural integrity our parents worked so carefully to achieve. Your signatures, your words, your presence—they reflect that same commitment to craftsmanship and respect.

This is not a victory, but it is an opportunity. The application may return revised, or it may proceed as originally proposed. Either way, sustained community engagement will be critical.
