🌱 Why It Matters
The preschool will take over two thirds of our children’s outdoor play space away, destroy our precious koala habitat, and disrupt our community.
This isn’t just grass -it’s where our kids grow, play, and connect with nature. It’s home to koalas, black cockatoos, and irreplaceable childhood memories.
🚸 What’s at Risk
- Student wellbeing - the school’s large outdoor play space will be lost, which is essential for our kids’ physical activity, mental health, and social development.
- Wildlife habitat – our school’s koala corridor will be destroyed, and our green heritage will be permanently impacted that we have worked so hard as a school to preserve.
- Safety & Traffic Chaos- a new car park entrance threatens children, families, and cyclists. Bangalay Drive is already congested; increased traffic will raise the risk of serious accidents and further add to gridlock and frustration at school drop off and pick-ups as well as the commute to work.
