First, we want to sincerely thank everyone who signed the petition, made submissions, shared information, and stood with us. Your support showed just how deeply people care about protecting the Barossa.
While the Minister has now granted approval, and that outcome is disappointing, the strength of community response has been clear—and it matters.
We’ve recently been contacted by the Barossa Region Residents Association regarding growing concerns about the proposed “Corridor 5” transmission line, which could see large towers placed very close to homes across parts of the northern Barossa.
They are working to ensure the community has the strongest and most effective voice possible—but they need broader support to do that.
You don’t have to be a Barossa resident to get involved—support from the wider community makes a real difference.
If you care about protecting the Barossa and ensuring our region is properly heard, please consider:

Building a larger, unified community now helps ensure we are as effective as possible in advocating for the Barossa—both today and into the future.
