Where does the money go when we 'chip in'?

So many of us have donated to Change.org and the fund to gather signatures.  I want to take a minute and show what I see on the organizer's end. This is a snipped screenshot from my computer.

At the time of this update, we've raised $670 to further the reach and gather signatures.  Change.org states that for every $20 donated, our majestic Sterling Oak will be advertise to 250 people.

19% of our 903 signatures are from our funds we chipped in! 

Myself, along with others in the community, are beginning discussions with city leaders to establish next steps.  This is very grass roots (no pun intended!) and I'm learning as I go!  

Thank you for helping!!  Don't forget there's strength in numbers and let's save our beautiful and rare Chinkapin Oak!
