📢 Clarksburg is stepping up—now it’s our turn
The City of Clarksburg has formally asked the Harrison County Board of Education to donate the recently closed school buildings, including North View Elementary, to the city’s Land Reuse Agency.
Mayor Malfregeot even voiced his support for Emmanuel Christian School to relocate to North View, calling on the Board to do what is right for our community.
But we need your voice now more than ever.
If the Board chooses to auction these properties, there’s a real risk they’ll be bought by out-of-state speculators or others with no intention of redevelopment, just like we’ve seen with Towers, Central, and others. Vacant buildings, decay, and demolition will certainly follow.
Let’s not repeat the mistakes of the past.
