Since launching Preserve Historic Bethlehem in 2016, our community has actively urged the Town Board to review and adopt appropriate protections for historic places town-wide. We are grateful for your support!

While substantial progress was reflected in broad goals the town adopted in its revised 2022 Comprehensive Plan, Bethlehem needs to cultivate a new set of practices if historic places are to survive & endure. We don't practice preservation alone. We do it together, as a community. Historic places don't protect themselves - towns do, and people do. It's now time for Bethlehem to take action and adopt NPS preservation standards before it's too late. 

If ingenuity is the impetus for growth, development is the catalyst for preservation. We thank you, as will our next generation!
