We’ve Requested a Response from Randell Bynum & Jamie Tortorella - Stay Tuned!
We sent the below email to both Randell Bynum and JamieTortorella and are awaiting responses.
We’ll keep everyone updated, but in the meantime, please call, email, write letters, post on social media and apply pressure to hear us out and reverse this mandate! Thank you to everyone who has stood up against this decision by council so far! Let’s get this squashed so we can move on to what really matters - our girls!
“I am writing to you on behalf of the 1,086 volunteers, families, and supporters who have signed our community petition, "Preserve Local Banking for Nassau County Girl Scouts — Reject the GSNC Crowded Mandate."

Our members are deeply concerned about the practical challenges a remote fintech platform poses to our local troop cash operations. We respectfully request that GSNC immediately rescind the mandatory directive and instead present any banking changes to the service-unit delegates for a democratic vote.
Given the widespread urgency among your council's volunteers and families, and given that other councils have already adopted and subsequently rescinded their own mandates to use Crowded, please provide an official response detailing your position to go forward with this deeply unpopular and unproven platform that not only takes away from our local economy, but is a clear disregard for the volunteers and scouts who make Girl Scouts possible.
We plan to share your statement directly with our thousand+ petition supporters.
Thank you for your time and leadership. We look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
Concerned Girl Scout Troop Leaders of Nassau County”
