As many of you know, Preserve Lake Ridge entered into mediation with the defendants on Thursday, September 4, as ordered by the Ellis County 40th District judge, Bob Carroll, during the TRO dismissal hearing on Tuesday. Because there were several areas of concern, mediation lasted until 6pm without reaching a settlement.

Several more documents were disclosed by the defendants during mediation yesterday. We are currently in the process of reviewing those and have been granted extra time to do so. It could take 2-3 weeks before mediation is resumed, dependent upon the schedules of the involved parties. As a result, the hearing for the temporary injunction has been paused. There will NOT be a hearing on October 3. Further legal action will be determined based on the outcome of the second round of mediation.

Because this is an ongoing process, we are not at liberty to discuss any details of what was discussed. Please understand that it is not our desire to keep anyone from knowing details, but whether we proceed with the lawsuit or if we come to a settlement, we must proceed carefully. 

With the dismissal of the TRO on Tuesday, work will continue on the development. Please know that we are aware of this. None of us are happy about that, but at this time a reality we have to recognize. We appreciate your concern and support as we go through this process.
