Good Morning, Everyone!

I wanted to share a quick update with regard to the legal action being taken against the City of Cedar Hill. Our attorneys are at work with Public Information Requests. The City is doing their best to delay releasing information and going so far as to ask to redact portions of the information. We will continue to press them for the full release of ALL pertinent information with regard to Balcones. Their behavior indicates their unwillingness to work with us and speaks VOLUMES about what has gone on in the background they don't want us to know.

Although this has taken LONGER than we would like, rest assured that there is action being taken. Patience is key here and we will continue to work in the best interest of Lake Ridge.

For those of you who are RESIDENTS in Lake Ridge, we have a POA board election coming up! There are TWO positions available, and I AM RUNNING! It would mean the world to me to have your vote.

Roger Welch, a longtime supporter of our cause, is also running and would be an excellent addition to the board. If you would like to have a FLYER or read more about Roger and me, please follow this link. Election Flyer/Bio for Kay and Roger

PLEASE make plans to attend the CANDIDATES FORUM on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17 at 6:30 at Lake Ridge Elementary School. This will be your opportunity to ask questions and hear what the candidates have to say BEFORE YOU CAST YOUR VOTE.

The incumbents in this election, PATRICK DALE and LEW BLACKBURN, were part of the leadership team that has FAILED us. They chose NOT to inform our community about Balcones until it was ready for a vote at Planning and Zoning in June 2024. They KNEW about the development a FULL YEAR before that (if not longer) and made the decision not to tell the community. If we had known, we could have started our opposition effort so much sooner.

As you already know, they claimed a "neutral" position, yet they shared critical data about vacant lots in Lake Ridge with the City as if we had put our blessing on this decision. This type of concealed leadership CANNOT continue. If you want change, DO NOT VOTE FOR THE INCUMBENTS.

PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND THE FORUM.

IT IS YOUR CHANCE TO PUT PATRICK AND LEW ON THE SPOT!

If you want change, vote for me and Roger Welch. We believe in transparency and representing the WILL of the people who live in Lake Ridge.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
