THANK YOU! to all the protestors who showed up at the courthouse this morning. With a unified voice, supporters of the Dungeness Levee Trail were visible out front (photo attached) and filled the Board of County Commissioners Work Session earlier today. It was a powerful sight!

Tomorrow on the agenda for the Commissioners is approval of the bid to the contractor for paving the levee. It is incredulous that this could move forward despite no approval from the US Army Corps of Engineers of the latest design, disregard of the request of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, and dismissal of nearly 1,050 petition signors voices.

Whether you joined the work session protest today or were unable to, please consider going to the courthouse in Port Angeles at 10am tomorrow, and bring whatever sign you feel appropriate to demonstrate your voice against paving the levee. And if you are unable to go in person, please speak out online : https://zoom.us/j/8755617844 and use meeting ID: 875 561 7844 and passcode: 12345.

The meeting starts at 10am, and since the bid is on the agenda you should be able to speak near the beginning of the meeting if you are able.

Also feel free to email Commissioners French and Johnson before the meeting to voice your opinion of them voting to pave the levee and share your sentiment of what would be the best action to take in regard to this project:

Thank you!!!
