Hello Supporters of the Levee Trail and Environment,

Unfortunate update on the status of the levee trail: At a Board of Commissioners meeting last month, the Board voted in a 2 to 1 decision to proceed with the paving of the levee. This was despite the reasonable and thoughtful objections and considerations voiced by Commissioner Mark Ozias, whose district the levee is located on. Commissioners French and Johnson outvoted Commissioner Ozias.

As such, the County expects to open bids for the project next Tuesday on May 7,
