Of all the trending Oscar related hashtags on social media platforms, the #OscarsFanFavorite is by far the most popular right now.
The generic movie - whether they realize it or not - love the editing composition of the shots. They love the background music. The love the sets. They love the costumes. They love the filmmakers themselves who got their start making shorts. They also love the sound. (No, like, they really love the sound! Who here pays extra for the IMAX, Dolby Cinema or RPX auditoriums? I rest my case.)
What was your favorite film of 2021? Whatever it was, maybe it didn’t have your favorite score of all the films in 2021, but obviously the music must have been to your liking since you liked the movie. You see, “fan favorite” and these eight categories go hand in hand. The Academy Awards is calling for ‘movie lovers to unite,’ and there is no way that concept can reconcile with ‘fan favorites’ when categories are presented OFF camera.
Please consider helping flood social media with this petition using #OscarsFanFavorite, as it’s something that the AMPAS has to look at.
Thank you - it’s so awesome to see movie lovers join together and stick up for filmmakers.
