We are a union at the University of Washington made up of English Language  educators.  The University has dragged out negotiations with our small union, AFT-UW English Language Faculty for over 20 months and is unwilling to settle a contract that values the work that we long-term employees do in providing language support to students, preferring to pay us below our peers for the same work and to invest in a top-heavy administration rather than in the classroom.

Tell the University of Washington to be better at valuing the work of educators and urgently agree on a contract that reflects the values of equity and professionalism and to stop spending time and money fighting a small group of dedicated teachers.
