Progress Has Been Made, But We Can't Stop Yet

On Monday, the Prime Minister made history when he announced a national carbon price of $10 per tonne beginning in 2018, with the price increasing $10 per year thereafter until it reaches $50 in 2022. This is a significant step in the fight against climate change and we applaud the PM's proposal. BUT, note the following: 1. Not all Provinces are on board. The 2030 goals were established by the previous government, and are themselves inadequate. Please get others to sign the petition. Promote it on Facebook and Twitter. Show the Premiers that Canadians want a price that's high enough to lower emissions and stop global warming. By demonstrating our support, we hope the PM will be able to raise the carbon price. (It’s either that, or the government needs to introduce regulations to make up the difference.) Join us.
