Ontario's Budget Watchdog has warned that the sale of Hydro One will add to Ontario's long-term debt and drive up the cost of living for families throughout the province for years to come.

A decision that affects everyone in the province and will have ramifications for future generations should not be rammed down the throats of citizens without proper consultation and approval by the public.

Therefore, we call upon Premier Kathleen Wynne to put the decision about whether to sell Hydro One to the citizens of Ontario by a referrendum, to be held this year.
