The list of leaders who would be horrified by Premier David Burt and the PLP plan to reverse marriage equality is a long one but would include Martin Luther King Jnr, Nelson Mandela and the man of Peace and Love John Lennon. Indeed, Bermuda will go down in history as the 1st Government that legislates discrimination and reverses marriage equality granted by the Justice Charles-Etta Simmons in the Supreme Court of Bermuda on May 5th 2017 A true leader would accept the decision of the courts. The former OBA government accepts the Supreme Court decision. Sadly, the new "Progressive" Labor Party Government does not. Minister of Immigration Walton Brown Jnr is tabling "Domestic Partnership" legislation to reverse marriage equality on Friday Dec 8th 2017. How this politician could "flip flop" on the issue is nothing short of the height of hypocrisy.
