Efforts to see train service restored continue with Lillooet's new mayor and council. The Bridge River Lillooet News reports on Jan. 30th that Mayor Peter Busse and Councillor Jen Leach "have been discussing passenger rail strategies and are in contact with Trevor Mills of the West Coast Railway Association".
