We need overnight camping legal NOW!

Unfortunately, camping on Crown land is out of our hands and rests with the Federal government now!

Our petition will be modified soon to reflect the recent changes announced on May 20th.

Private and provincial campgrounds remain in our hands! Cases are declining as we received our shot (or shots) in order to be able to camp more this summer!

After yesterday’s announcements, it is more clear that we are unjustly looking at a very limited number of camping weekends towards the end of the summer! While people continue to fly in and out of Canada, we cannot even camp locally (under a full tank of gas both ways with no stops)!

Our campgrounds have worked hard to offer a SAFE place for our families! They barely survived last year with rules that kept on changing and now they are paused completely awaiting vaccination rates and hospitalization numbers. Other equally safe sector groups are free to enjoy the outdoors that we all so desperately need!

While we try our best to do our part, the government is not! We do have the ability to social distance and eradicate COVID-19 dangers by following the outdoor/indoor protocols ALREADY in place! We don’t need overnight restrictions; we need leadership that we will freely follow!

PLEASE help our government understand they are making things unnecessarily difficult! We need overnight camping legal NOW!
