Make trophy hunting illegal in British Columbia

Make trophy hunting illegal in British Columbia
The Issue
Recently there was a video released of a grizzly bear walking along a hillside somewhere in British Columbia. For the next 90 seconds, the video shows the poor bear being peppered with bullets as it runs and tries to escape. Finally the bear collapses and falls down the hillside, a bloody trail left behind it. The men shooting the video can be heard laughing and stating how happy they are that the bear fell down the hill so that they don't have to carry the dead bear as far out of the bush.
Trophy hunting is is cruel and wasteful, as the only hunting that should be done is by people who use the animal to feed themselves and their families. We should not be selling off our wildlife to trophy hunters. While the vast majority of people in B.C. find the idea of sport-hunting grizzlies and other animals despicable, the government continues to allow it. It has been shown time and time again that there is far more money to be made from ecotourism than there is from allowing people to kill off our precious wildlife.
Please ask Premier Christy Clark and the government of British Columbia to put an end once and for all to trophy hunting and promote ecotourism as an alternative so that everyone can enjoy the wildlife for years to come.
